A Wedding Rooted in Tradition at Westchester Country Club

This one stayed with me because of the people.
From the moment I arrived at The Ray Hotel, there was a genuine sense of appreciation for the people who helped shape Ben and Lena's lives. It showed up throughout the day, not in a way that felt performative, but in the way they moved through each tradition and included the people who mattered most to them.
One of the things I love most about photographing Jewish weddings is how much meaning is built into the day. The Tish, the Bedeken, the ceremony itself—each part creates space to pause, reflect, and celebrate with family and friends. Many of those moments were documented on film as well, which felt especially fitting for a day so rooted in tradition.
Ben and Lena embraced all of it.
By the time the ceremony began at Westchester Country Club, it felt like a natural continuation of what had been unfolding since the morning. Beneath the night sky, surrounded by the people who know and love them best, they stepped into this next chapter together.
And then, as every great wedding should, the celebration took over.
The dance floor was packed. The energy never let up. Friends and family celebrated like they had been waiting for this day for a long time.
What stayed with me most, though, was how naturally Ben and Lena balanced both sides of the day—the traditions that grounded it and the celebration that followed.
