Meet Alekandra, photographer and heart behind Nine One Four & Co.

Hi, I'm Alekandra.

I've always been drawn to people, their stories, and the little things that make them who they are. Long before wedding photography became my career, I was the person with a camera, finding reasons to photograph the people around me.

I'm naturally more of an observer than the center of attention. I notice the conversations happening off to the side, the familiar way people interact, and the moments that might otherwise pass unnoticed.

That curiosity about people is still what I love most about photography. And after more than a decade photographing weddings, getting to know the people in front of my camera remains one of my favorite parts of the work.

As a child, I made my own yearbooks with Polaroid sticky-back photos. In college, I was the friend with a camera, photographing late nights, everyday adventures, and the people around me.

I even worked in the Walgreens photo lab, where I watched roll after roll of film turn into photographs people couldn't wait to see. There's something about that experience that has stayed with me. I still love the colors, texture, and nostalgia of film.

More than a decade into photographing weddings, that same curiosity is still there. I love discovering what makes people who they are, getting to know their families, and seeing how every celebration takes on a personality of its own.

What Matters to Me

Getting to know you matters to me. I want to understand the people, relationships, and traditions that make your celebration yours.

You should feel comfortable being yourself. I'll offer direction when it's helpful, share a laugh when the moment calls for it, and give you room to enjoy your day.

I take the responsibility of photographing your wedding seriously, from preparing for the day to preserving the moments you'll want to revisit years from now.
